Blue Yonder Urban Farms showcases my efforts at trying to grow my own food in the heat of the Sonoran Desert… If you have never lived in the Desert, you might imagine that growing food would be different than where you live, but for some reason it really did not occur to me till I started planting and trying to get things to grow for me to see just how different it would be.
Being a native California Girl, where growing your own food was easy and all I had to do was to do what everyone else was doing and I got; Tomatoes, Zucchini, Cucumbers, Green Beans, really almost anything. Now that I live in the Desert, I have to learn how to grow food, and work at it…
